On Saturday (May 8th) early morning we headed off to Victory (our conference center) for a weekend retreat! It rained and was so windy the electricity went out. Since we had no electricity or heat in our trailer, we decided to head to Cambridge Saturday evening, instead of Sunday:( Missed the wonderful time with our friends, but we're glad we headed out. Sunday Philip was not feeling well, looks like he's teething still:) Comes and goes.
Cambridge is about 4 hours from Victory, 6 hours from Ottawa and 25 minutes from Waterloo, where Matthew is working for this week and next.
The Homewood Suites are in an industrial area, so it's pretty quite. Walkable distance from some new neighborhoods and parks, Philip and Gretchen are enjoying the relaxed pace with times for swims, walking to parks and around the peaceful neighborhoods, libraries for story time for Philip and the evenings with Matthew.
Last night, Wednesday night, Matthew took us to an awesome restaurant in Waterloo for my birthday. The food was delicious. I tried the duck, it was tender and moist, while Matthew tried rabbit.
