Road trip 2009

Upon Matthew's completion of taking the exams for work, which by the way we don't get the results till November this year, we decided to take a little road trip! It was the best trip yet, besides the fact that moving every few days isn't very relaxing:), but it was definitely worth it!
Thursday around 1pm we left Ottawa and drove to New Jersey, where we stayed with Abraham George for the night. Friday we drove about 1 hour to Princeton, the school Matthew attended for 5 years. Matthew is an excellent tour guide and showed me all the dorms he stayed in, places he studied, etc. Then in the evening we went to dinner at a Chinese place with his professor and the current batch of students. It was a very meaningful and amazing time to see where Matthew was for 5 years of his life!
Current batch of students with Matthew's previous professor.
Friday evening we drove to Delaware, where we spent the weekend. We were able to make it to many church functions and visit many of the friends, whom Matthew knows so well. The highlight of the weekend was Sunday being along in a picnic with all the young couples from Delaware. It was sunny and warm so we had a wonderful time together!
Monday late afternoon was spent driving to Atlantic City. Spending two nights there was plenty:) We enjoyed the Boardwalk, went to "Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum", having good food and best of all, spending time together!
On Wednesday afternoon we headed to Pennsylvania. Upon arrival we went to a buffet for dinner. Thursday we went to a "behind-the-scenes" tour at the Sight and Sound Theater. Sight and Sound rein acts Bible stories with live animals, including goats, elephants, sheep, etc. It is a very impressive and huge theater. After going through the tour, we watched "Abraham and Sarah - a journey of love". Very well done and lots of details and thought!
On Friday we drive to Hershey World, Pennsylvania. We enjoyed the factory ride through on a "ship" and tasting the fresh Hershey's chocolate, nothing compared to European chocolate though:) After a few hours there, we drove to Victory, New York for the weekend to be with the friends from Eastern America for a conference.
